Our Courses

Hair

6 Week course

  • A short introductory programme designed for learners who benefit from a gentle reengagement into education. 

12 Week course

  • A structured skills-based hair programme focused on developing practical techniques, confidence, and personal growth. Learners build on foundational hair basic cutting theory, styling techniques, and professional behaviour in a supportive alternative provision setting.

Development Course

  • An extended progression programme designed for learners ready to advance their hair skills and prepare for next steps. The course focuses on improving technique, independence, responsibility, and employability, while supporting pathways into further education, apprenticeships, or vocational training within the hair industry.


Beauty

6 Week Course

  • A short introductory programme focused on beauty basics and nail painting, designed to gently re-engage learners into education. The course introduces hygiene, personal presentation, basic skincare, and nail painting techniques in safe, age appropriate environment. Emphasis is place on confidence, routine, and positive engagement.

12 Week Course

  • A structured, skills-based beautyprogramme developing practical knowledge, Confidence, and personal growth. Learners build on foundations; skills to develop consistent routines in skincare, nail painting, make-up basics, and client care, alongside professional behaviour and wellbeing support. All treatments remain non- invasive and age- appropriate.

Development Course

  • A progression programme for learners who have completed the 12 - week course or focuses on improving technique, independence, responsibility, and employability within beauty pathways. Learners are supported with next-steps planning into further education, apprenticeships, or vocational training 


Functional Skills (Planned for September)

Practical English and Maths delivered in a supportive environment, helping learners build confidence, independence, and real-life skills. Functional skills provision is planned from September 2026.

English

  • Our English sessions help learners develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in a calm, supportive environment. Learning is practical and confidence-building, with activities linked to everyday life, communication, and future learning or work opportunities.

Maths

  • Our Maths sessions focus on building confidence with numbers through practical, real-life activities such as money, measuring, time, and problem-solving. Learning is supportive and accessible, helping learners develop essential skills for everyday life, independence, and future progression.


Vocational Studies

Hands-on learning that builds practical skills, confidence, and readiness for future pathways.

Explore • Try • Build Confidence

  • Our Vocational Studies sessions give young people the chance to explore a variety of practical activities in a calm and supportive environment. Learners can try different options such as sports and physical activities, cooking and food preparation, cleaning and independent living skills, painting and creative projects, and other hands-on tasks linked to everyday life and work skills.

Certificates

  • Vocational certificates issued by Glow Project are non-accredited and recognise participation, skill development, and course completion. They support confidence-building and progression and do not replace accredited qualifications.
