EBSA & SECTION 19 SUPPORT

Supporting Young People Experiencing EBSA

Glow Project provides therapeutic alternative provision and intervention support for young people experiencing barriers accessing education, including emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), anxiety, neurodivergence, dysregulation and emotional wellbeing needs.

We understand that some young people may struggle to attend or engage within traditional school environments and may require flexible, personalised support to help rebuild confidence, emotional safety and engagement in learning.

Our approach focuses on relationship-based support, emotional regulation, gradual re-engagement and personalised pathways tailored to each young person’s individual needs and strengths.

Glow Project may support through:

  • Reduced timetables
  • Reintegration support
  • Community-based learning
  • Emotional regulation support
  • Therapeutic intervention approaches
  • Vocational and interest-led engagement
  • Confidence and resilience building
  • Small group or 1:1 support
  • Flexible alternative provision pathways
  • Partnership working alongside schools and professionals

We work collaboratively with schools, Local Authorities, SENCOs, families and professionals to help create achievable and sustainable pathways back into learning where appropriate.

Our provision is designed to support young people at their own pace while prioritising emotional wellbeing, engagement and positive long-term outcomes.

Working Alongside Schools

Glow Project can work alongside schools, Local Authorities and professionals to provide flexible support pathways that complement existing educational provision and helps young people successfully re-engage with learning.

This may include:

  • Part-time intervention support
  • Mirrored educational engagement
  • Transitional support
  • Reintegration planning
  • Emotional wellbeing support
  • Alternative learning environments
